ACLU Challenges Nude Teen Camp Ban
« Thread Started on Jun 30, 2004, 9:34pm »

Hmmm......This is an interesting article. Talks about at teen nude camp for ages 11-18. They say it's legal because if not it violates your right if you are not allowed to choose your lifestyle. I understand rights but 11-18 just seems way to young to be running around nude, at least I think so. Where were these camps when I was young.

I'm only 18 and I think that a camp for people 11-18 should not be legal. Thats taking things a little too far, especially concerning 11-14 year olds. Thats just way too young to be running around naked in front of people.

Yep Firefly it kind of tells me what those kids are probably thinking, because I'm sure as hell that's what I would have been thinking. I mean, I don't know about you guys but my hormones were pretty raging at that time in life. I'm not sure I could have walked around without clothes on!

Yeah, I can't say that I think teen nude camps are a good idea!! I mean.....hello hormones. I'm thinking there might be a rise in teenage pregnancy as a result!!! :o

The ACLU will pretty much 'back' anything that is controversial. Not to offend anyone....but I don't much care for them. The following taken from a blog

Roger Baldwin, founder and longtime leader of the American Civil Liberties Union, was for many years at best an apologist for Soviet crimes, and at worst an open sympathizer with Stalinism. Upon returning from a trip to the Stalinist Soviet Union in 1928, Baldwin criticized the "bourgeois mind" concerned with "individual liberties" instead of the economic freedom purportedly enjoyed by Soviet peasants, "a freedom vastly more real to the average worker than shadowy intellectual liberties." Roger N. Baldwin, Liberty Under the Soviets 24 (1928). In 1934, when millions of Soviet citizens were dying in government-engineered famines, Baldwin defended the Soviet dictatorship on the grounds that "the Soviet Union has already created liberties far greater than exist elsewhere in the world." Quoted in Cletus E. Daniel, The ACLU and the Wagner Act 82 (Cornell ILR Press 1980).

I know this is true....but if you do a search it's hard to find....guess they don't want that fact discussed too much. I do agree with their decision to back Rush Limbaugh and his medical privacy rights . I don't think the government needs to know every damn thing about us.........there is a line and it needs to be painted darker so people know what is what!!

Did that make sense?? ;D

I suppose its a free country. I only hope there is enough supervision during the day and night. :-*
